A first visit that feels like a visit

Children come for a tour before they ever come for treatment. They meet Mirto, ride the chair, count their teeth, and go home with a sticker and a story. Free for children under four.

Book the tour

Drawing of Mirto the tooth sitting in a yellow dental chair as it rises, arms in the air

The tour, in five stops

Read it together before you come. It takes about thirty minutes, and nothing happens that your child has not said yes to.

  1. Mirto the tooth waving beside the yellow front door

    Knock at the yellow door

Mirto, our mascot, meets you downstairs. Take the lift or count the 22 steps; the bakery smells follow you up.

  2. Mirto sitting in the yellow dental chair as it rises

    Ride the chair

The chair goes up like a lift and tips back like a sun lounger. You push the button.

  3. Mirto wearing sunglasses under the bright lamp

    Sunglasses on

The lamp is as bright as the sun, so everyone gets sunglasses. Pick the colour.

  4. Mirto winking and holding a small dental mirror

    Count the teeth

With the little round mirror, we count your teeth together. Most people have more than they think.

  5. Mirto holding a toothbrush beside a smiling star sticker

    A sticker and a brush

You go home with a new toothbrush, a sticker, and a note for your grown-up.

What happens at each age

  1. From the first tooth

    Babies

Come when the first tooth appears or by the first birthday. It is mostly a chat with you; your baby sits on your lap. Free under four.

  2. 2 to 5

    Little ones

The tour, a look and a count, fluoride varnish if it helps. Visits are short and happen at the child's pace.

  3. 6 to 12

    New adult teeth

Sealants on the new back teeth, a first orthodontic look around 8, mouthguards for sport.

  4. 13 and up

    Teenagers

Braces or aligners if needed, and appointments on Saturdays so nobody misses school.

For grown-ups

  • Talk about the visit beforehand in an ordinary voice, like a trip to the library.
  • Avoid words like needle, drill, pain or brave, even to reassure. Say: they will count your teeth.
  • Bring their favourite toy. Mirto likes company.
  • If you are nervous yourself, tell us, and let another adult come in with them if that is easier.
  • Morning visits go best for small children. Saturday mornings are for school-age children.
