How the key visual was made
Hana Sato on routes, islands and a poster that draws itself.

The Periplous key visual is generated. Each island is a random shape, each dashed line is a route around one, and each colour is a track: blue for Build, coral for Design, lime for Ship. The boats move along the routes, slowly, unless your computer asks for less motion.
No two renders are the same, but every poster from every edition comes from the same program, seeded with the year. Hana Sato will show how it works, and how to make your own, in her workshop on the first afternoon. You will print the results.
