The room’s story
The Hatzigakis mules lived here, four of them, and carried the wool down to Ioannina and the salt and coffee back up. The stable had lost its roof by the time we came; there was a young walnut growing in the manger.
It is now the room for families and for people who stay a week: two bedrooms, a kitchen with a two-ring stove and a proper table, a terrace facing the garden, and its own door, so children can be loud. Breakfast is still in the house, if you want it.

The plan
Katerina drew every room before the masons started, and redrew it when the walls turned out not to be where the old survey said. This is the room as it stands.
In the room
- A separate stone house in the garden
- A double bedroom and a room with two singles
- Kitchen, table for four
- Own terrace
- Dogs welcome
- Cots and a high chair on request
