The room’s story
The loom came from Petros’s grandmother’s house in Tsepelovo in the back of a borrowed van, in eleven pieces. A weaver from Metsovo spent two days putting it together and one day teaching Katerina how not to break it.
The blankets on the beds in every room were woven on it, over two winters, in wool from sheep that graze below the village. The half-finished one on the loom now is the colour of the beech woods in October. Guests are welcome to throw the shuttle; we unpick very little.

The plan
Katerina drew every room before the masons started, and redrew it when the walls turned out not to be where the old survey said. This is the room as it stands.
In the room
- Kyra Vangelio’s loom, still threaded
- Double or twin, tell us which
- Wool blankets woven on it
- Shower room
- Shutters inside the window
