What it is
A crown covers a tooth that is too broken or weak for a filling, usually after a root canal. We shape the tooth, take a digital scan instead of the putty most people remember, and fit a temporary crown. The permanent one, in ceramic or zirconia, is made by a small lab in Thessaloniki we have worked with for years, and fitted a week or two later.
A bridge replaces a missing tooth with a false one held by crowns on the teeth either side.
Who it is for
Teeth with large old fillings that keep breaking, teeth after a root canal, and gaps where a bridge is a better fit than an implant.
Does it hurt? Honestly
The tooth is numbed while we shape it. It can be a little sensitive under the temporary crown.

Afterwards
- Be gentle with the temporary: no toffee, no chewing gum on that side.
- Floss by pulling the floss out sideways, not up, so the temporary stays put.
- Once fitted, a crown needs the same cleaning as a tooth.
